A release date for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask debuted in 2000 on the Nintendo 64. There have been several re-releases on GameCube, Wii’s Virtual Console and Wii U’s Virtual Console, as well as a Nintendo 3DS remake. In the case of Nintendo Switch Online, this will be the base edition of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Maskthe one that was born on Nintendo 64 22 years ago now.
Visually speaking, Majora’s Mask is close to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which was released two years earlier on Nintendo 64. But the atmosphere of the game is much darker and the mechanics change since there is a three-day time cycle that repeats itself constantly, just like the use of masks allowing Link to transform. There’s the Goron, Zora, and Plague Deku mask. There are also other brands that can improve the performance of the hero, Link. For example, the rabbit mask allows Link to run faster.
Those who want to play The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask next February 25 will have to have the Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack subscription. It costs €39.99/year (€69.99/year for the family subscription). This allows you to play online, to have NES, SNES and Nintendo 64 games, as well as to have game backups in the cloud.
