Microsoft has fixed a bug that it introduced itself in Windows 10 and 11, with the impossibility of using a VPN. The connection was not working after installing the first Patch Tuesday of 2022 which was released just a few days ago. That wasn’t the only bug actually.
Fixed the bug with VPNs on Windows 10 and 11
The fixes are coming in the form of an optional update, and it looks like almost every supported version of Windows is affected by some kind of issue. The fixes released today go all the way back to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. For Windows 11, the new update is labeled KB5010795.
In addition to fixing a bug with VPNs, the new update for Windows 10 and 11 fixes an issue that may prevent removable media formatted using Resilient File System (ReFS) from being mounted or may cause the mount removable media in RAW file format.
Microsoft recalls in passing that there may be a bug in the HDR display with Windows 11 and that a fix should be released by the end of the month. There is not yet a precise date communicated, but Microsoft ensures that it will be soon.
