Podcasts are of more and more interest to platforms like Spotify and now Twitter is going to get started. In any case, this is strongly suggested by the code of the social network application.
A podcast section approaching on Twitter
Developer Jane Manchun Wong, who is good at digging into app code and finding out what’s on the way, unearthed a new feature showing a dedicated space for podcasts in Twitter. A new tab with a microphone appears, as can be seen in the image, as does the mention “Podcasts”.

It is currently difficult to know how Twitter will organize itself. Will we end up with a real space to compete with existing podcast services? Or does the social network intend to group the Spaces in one and the same place?
Twitter first got into audio when it launched Spaces in 2020, and invested more in the format with the acquisition of social podcasting platform Breaker. Spaces is an ongoing project for Twitter, which recently started allowing anyone to create chat rooms and allowing all mobile users to record conversations.
Technically speaking, saved Spaces can act as podcasts. But there is one notable element: they automatically erase after 30 days. Perhaps Twitter will change its policy with the arrival of the new dedicated space.
