SAP, a German management solutions giant, is in the sights of the French Competition Authority following a complaint from Cigref. After a legal battle lasting several years, the association ended up convincing the Competition Authority of the legitimacy of its complaints. “At this stage, the Autorité de la concurrence has decided to favor the instruction of the referral relating to SAP, which it will launch with companies and public bodies, customers or not of SAP” specifies the press release from the l ‘association.

Cigref, which criticizes SAP for its commercial practices (particularly on the lack of transparency of its price list and the increasingly high cost of its solutions), could soon receive indirect support from the USF (association of French-speaking users of SAP solutions): the members of the USF will indeed have to respond to a questionnaire drawn up by the Competition Authority and relating precisely to the commercial practices of SAP.
