We knew theBlue Monday”, this blues Monday considered the most depressing day of the year, and which falls on January 17, 2022. Discover now what we could call the “cheat monday”, the day when there is the greatest risk of being deceived. Day to be held… this Monday, January 10!

At least that’s what extramarital dating site Gleeden reveals. since it is the day of the year when the platform registers the most activity. This day would in fact be the Monday following the start of the school year after the end-of-year holidays, ie January 10 for this year.

This calculation comes from data collected by the Gleeden site since its inception in 2009.”For example, on Monday January 9, 2019, the site recorded an increase registrations of +430% and +480% on Monday, January 13, 2020. In 2021, the trend was largely mitigated by the health situation, but registrations still jumped by +220% on Monday January 11, 2021”, can we read in the press release of Gleeden (source 1).

And this year 2022 could see this trend increase drastically, if we are to believe Solène Paillet, communications director at Gleeden. “VSUnlike the previous year when the health situation was still very uncertain, with a low rate of people vaccinated, our members seem much more inclined to meet people at the start of the year and make up for lost time”, she believes, indicating that the platform expects a very active month of January.

In a Gleeden poll conducted online with 18,782 of its European members from December 15-22, 2021, 91% indicated that they intended to connect to the site this January. The main reasons mentioned for this desire for infidelity: end-of-year family celebrations that are particularly burdensome for 51% of those surveyed, the hope of a return to normal life, and therefore the possibility of making beautiful encounters in 2022 for more than a third of respondents (64%), or the desire to try new experiences for 28% of those questioned.
