Oppo strikes very hard by unveiling an ultra-fast charge for smartphones, namely 240 W. It only takes 9 minutes to fully charge a smartphone with a 4,500 mAh battery.

Oppo says its 240W SUPERVOOC charging system contains several safety safeguards, including a custom-designed control chip that monitors voltage, current, and temperature, and meets heat dissipation standards despite power very high. The manufacturer does not specify when the first devices equipped with its fast charge will be marketed.

This is not his first attempt. Oppo had already presented a 150 W charging system. OnePlus will also use it in a smartphone that will be released during the second quarter of the year. The company said it only takes five minutes for 50% battery life. It is not mentioned the time necessary to have 100% but it is probably about 15/20 minutes.
Naturally, some may think that the battery will quickly lose capacity in view of the power. But Oppo claims to have done the necessary. For its 150 W charge, for example, it guarantees that the capacity of a 4,500 mAh battery is maintained at 80%, even after 1,600 charging cycles.
