If you have a OnePlus 6 or 6T, know that you will no longer be entitled to updates. OnePlus announces that it will end software support for its two smartphones that were released in 2018.

End of software updates for OnePlus 6 and 6T

It is through its forums that the manufacturer announces the end for its OnePlus 6 and 6T. He writes :

After 3 major updates and over 3 years of updates, around 60 closed betas and over 30 open betas, it’s now time to close a chapter and announce the end of official software support for the OnePlus 6 and 6T .

It is thanks to your constant support that we have been able to constantly improve the software experience on these devices and we cannot thank you enough for your regular feedback. We would like to share a special word of appreciation to all beta testers, who since 2018 have tested features before they were released in the stable version. You played a huge role in optimizing OxygenOS to ensure a better overall experience.

The latest update saw the light of day last month. It included the November 2021 Android security patches. It would have been nice to have a final update with the December 2021 and January 2022 patches, but it won’t.
