realme step on the accelerator. During his conference on MWCthe Asian manufacturer has indeed unveiled two new models of (very) high-end smartphones, the Realme GT2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro. The Pro model necessarily stands out from the crowd with a very high spec sheet: in addition to the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor (compared to a “simple” Snapdragon 888 for the GT 2) surmounted by its cooling plate and a 5000 battery mAh + 65 W fast charging (on both models), the GT 2 Pro’s 2K AMOLED screen combines the very best in the mobile sector, to the point that the very rigorous DisplayMate gave it the maximum score of A+ ( a first).
The GT 2 Pro’s 6.7-inch AMOLED panel uses Super Reality LTPO 2.0 technology, which notably allows a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz. The resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels gives the GT 2 Pro’s panel a density of 525 dpi and the brightness climbs to 1400 nit, which again is unheard of. Do you want more ? Be aware that this ultra premium panel also offers a tactile sampling rate of 1000 Hz, enough to ensure foolproof responsiveness (also ideal for mobile gaming). History not to forget anything, the colors are displayed in 10 bits (1.07 billion colors) and the screen is protected by glass Gorilla Glass Victus. Mazette!
On the image side, there are no concessions either, with a three-sensor photo module, i.e. a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 wide-angle main sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 wide-angle sensor (and a 150° FoV) and finally a micro-lens offering a level of x40 magnification (microscope function). In short, the creme de la creme.
The Realme GT 2 Pro (12 GB of RAM up to 512 GB of storage) will be available for sale in France on March 8 at 749 euros. Three colors are available, Paper White (in biobased polymer), Paper Green and Titanium Blue. The Realme GT 2 (12 GB of RAM up to 512 GB of storage) will be available on March 15 at 545 euros. The prices of these two models therefore seem a priori very competitive in view of the specs offered.
