Media Molecule’s Dreams software will be used to make a movie

Only those who have not closely approached the extreme richness of the tool designed by the Media Molecule studio will be surprised: dreams, the incredibly complete and intuitive creation software that allows you to develop games or media (including in VR) will be used to create the film A Winter’s Journey, an adaptation of Franz Schubert’s Germanic poem Winterreise.

This information is tinged with a touch of sadness when we know that the actor Gaspard Ulliel, who died recently in a skiing accident, was to play the main role of this film. Filming will still start in June in Poland, with Martina Gedeck, Charles Berling, Gabriella Moran and the immense John Malkovich in the cast.

Unsurprisingly, therefore, Sony Pictures Classics will actively participate in the creation of the film, not only at the production level but also in the tools used for its realization: Dreams is indeed a PS4/PSVR software created by a studio first party from PlayStation. This great first validates the original interface of Dreams, which favors a more direct approach to creation (even if the menus and submenus are still present).
