Lenovo unveils gaming laptops with RTX 3000 GPUs at rock bottom prices

Gaming laptops are generally overpriced, and this is even more the case when they are equipped with the latest GPUs from Nvidiathe RTX-3000 (not to mention that the shortage of components does not help). Lenovo tries to change the situation with its range of laptops IdeaPad Gaming 3 (AMD) and IdeaPad Gaming 3i (Intel) presented at the MWC in Barcelona.

Two models were unveiled, in 15.6 and 16 inches (2,560 x 1,600 pixels), equipped either with Intel Alder Lake processors (up to Core i7-12700H 12 cores/20 threads), or AMD Ryzen 6000 chips (up to Ryzen 7 6800H 8 cores/ 16 threads). We also note that Intel models support up to 32 GB of DDR4-32000, against 32 GB of DDR5-4800 for AMD models. On the storage side, we can go up to 1 TB in M.2 SSD.

The highlight of these machines is of course the presence of a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti in the IdeaPad Gaming 3 (AMD), and an RTX 3060 in the IdeaPad Gaming 3 (Intel), all at very reasonable prices. Thus, the IdeaPad Gaming 3i 15.6 inches will be marketed in April at a starting price of 990 dollars, the 16 inch model being planned for the month of June at 1490 dollars. The IdeaPad Gaming 3 will be even cheaper, at 929 dollars (basic configuration) for the 15.6-inch available next May, and 1140 dollars for the 16-inch available in June.
