Team LeBron had the final say. On the night of Sunday to Monday, the 2022 edition of the NBA All-Star Game was therefore won by this famous Team LeBron. The latter got the better of Team Durant (163-160). A victory acquired at the very end of the game, thanks to a decisive mid-range shot from the inevitable LeBron James, who was playing on the side of the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. A final shot that allowed his team to reach this famous total of 163 points, a number that had to be had first, to put an end to this meeting. As a reminder, King James, who was therefore playing on more than familiar ground, wore the colors of the Cleveland Cavaliers franchise from 2003, when he was then drafted, that year, in first position, to 2010, then from 2014 to 2018.
Davis’ 52 points unbeaten
This 2022 edition of the All-Star Game was particularly attractive and also marked by the huge part of Stephen Curry, one of the great architects of his Team’s final victory. Author of a total of 50 points, the star of the Golden State Warriors was named MVP. However, Curry was ultimately unable to break Anthony Davis’ record. Indeed, the current resident of the Los Angeles Lakers franchise had then reached the total of 52 points, in 2017. However, Curry has indeed reached a record, that of the most three-point baskets scored, a total of sixteen in 27 attempted. Of that total, eleven were scored in the first period. Already a record. A total not so surprising as that, in the end, insofar as the point guard, now 33 years old, has already become, this season, the best three-point shooter in history, after passing a certain Ray Allen. Alongside Curry and his 50 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 30, with 12 rebounds also at the key, while LeBron James scored 24 points. Opposite, the Cameroonian pivot Joel Embiid (36 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists) was not enough.
